Area Tree Selection Guide
Now land-owners, landscapers, and anyone else who isn’t a expert arborist can know what trees will grow best in the Idaho Falls area.
A Tree Selection Guide, produced by the City of Idaho Falls, promotes urban forestry (encouraging planting of trees in city areas) by listing trees by size, identifying potential problems with some trees and giving addresses where a mature example of the tree exists.
This selection guide with color photos is available to the public for $4 (the cost of printing).
Other community forestry programs provided through High Country are: grants, tree ordinance development, mediation of tree related conflict and expertise in arboriculture.
