  Applicant Search for Hold The Line Project Coordinator 

 

High Country RC&D is seeking a highly motivated, organized candidate to fill the Hold The Line Coordinator Position. The objective of Hold the Line is to prevent leafy spurge and other invasive species from expanding its range in Eastern Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Currently this position is a part-time position averaging 20 hours/week (some weeks as low as 10 hrs. and other as high as 40 hrs); funding is available through September 30, 2012.  Depending upon the success of fund raising activities, this position has the potential to develop into a multi-year, full-time position.  Salary will be from $12 -$17/hr depending upon experience.

 

The tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:

·         Keeping all partners informed about project activities, due dates, meetings, etc.

·         Provide support to the Steering Committee

·         Coordinate all aspects of Hold the Line including

o    Coordinate and work with the Partner Steering Committee and Partner Members to establish project priorities (geographic areas, technology, & species)

o    Develop lines of communication to and between the Partners and ensure lines of communication are kept open

o    Development of the years program of work

o    Develop 1, 3 and 5 year action plans including prioritization of projects

o    Outline timeline for completion of tasks and follow up to ensure work is completed within specified timelines.

o    Monitoring of treatments

o    Securing funding for partners to complete tasks

o    Coordinate field season activities including volunteer and partner efforts.

o    Trouble shooting the field season

o    Progress reports are completed on time and are accurate.

o    Schedule and coordinate meetings

o    Ensure tasks outlined in grants and agreements are met

o    Work with RC&D on payments

o    Coordinate with partners in Wyoming and Montana to bring them into the project

 

The ideal Applicant would have at least three years of work experience successfully leading/coordinating a diverse group(s), and meet the following criteria:

·         Demonstrates high level of communication skills both verbal and written. Must show ability to interact with private land owners as well as representatives from a variety of local, state and federal agencies

·         Demonstrates high level of organizations skills. Must show an ability to manage a multi faceted program with many partners.

·         Demonstrates the ability to motivate partners and attentiveness to due dates.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license.
